Aysha Matar Alshamsi is an Emirati professional specializing in sustainable agriculture and environmental science. She currently works as a Growth Chamber Technician at Silal Innovation Oasis in Al Ain, where she operates and manages advanced growth chambers used for plant research and phenotyping. Her work focuses on monitoring and optimizing environmental conditions—such as light, temperature, and irrigation—to study plant responses and growth performance under controlled environments. Through this role, Aysha contributes to research projects that aim to enhance crop productivity and sustainability in arid regions.

Aysha holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from the United Arab Emirates University (2022) and is pursuing her Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability at the same institution.

Previously, she worked as a Control Room Operator at Global Farms, where she developed her skills in hydroponics and climate-controlled greenhouse systems, and as a Research Associate at AeroFarms, supporting vertical farming trials and data collection. She also completed internships with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, CAFU, and the University of Almería in Spain, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable farming initiatives and greenhouse automation.
