Rana Jreij is an Associate Professor of food science and nutrition at the Lebanese University in Beirut since 2010.  She received her PhD in biochemistry, chemistry and technology of foods in 2009 from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier, France. Her thesis was about the effect of nitrogen foliar fertilization and irrigation on the biochemistry of the grapes. Before this, she had a bachelor of biochemistry from the Lebanese University.
