Ms. Debez is a Chief Technician at the Laboratory of Bioactive Substances (LSBA) at the Center of Biotechnology of Borj Cedria (CBBC), Tunisia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, a Master's Diploma in Biochemistry.  Since 2016, she is a Ph.D. student in Biology at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of Tunis.  Ms. Debez is a specialist in the field of applied microbiology in biological control and has undertaken several internship programs at the Microbiology Laboratory, University of Bordeaux. She has also established collaboration with the University of Rouen (Proteomic Facility CNRS), with a focus on plant biocontrol against fungal pathogens.

Ms. Debez is currently involved in various national and international research projects. She is supervising many students in the context of overcoming global agricultural challenges to enhance food security in Arab countries. She has also published many papers and participated in different national and international conferences to communicate her research results and to improve public awareness about the importance of the biocontrol of plant diseases and to ensure food safety and security.
