Ms. Mounira Azouz


Ms. Mounira is an Agri-food Scientist with expertise in food quality, food safety, and agricultural science. She started research activities by working at the National Research Institute of Agriculture (INRAA) in Algeria. She holds a master’s degree in food science and another master’s degree in Bioengineering.

Ms. Mounira is also a Ph.D. candidate working on the quality of durum wheat at the International Center for Agriculture Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).

Since 2012, Ms. Mounira has also been working as a project coordinator under international cooperation, regional African and Euro-Mediterranean. She also supervises several master's degree students and trains professionals on the safe use of nuclear techniques and related technologies to detect hazards and contaminants in food, feed, and beverages.

She recently joined the national contaminants expert club.
