Prof. Shaimaa Reda Abd-Elkhalik Hatab is a distinguished Professor and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Organic Agriculture at Heliopolis University in Cairo, Egypt. With a PhD in Food Microbiology (Food Safety) from Northwest A&F University, China, and a specialization in Food Safety and Quality, her research is focused on food innovation technology and the sustainable utilization of agricultural and seafood by-products. Prof. Shaimaa has extensive experience in academic leadership, previously serving as the Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Head of the Food Processing Department. Her expertise in Project Management includes Proposal Writing and Grant Management, which she has utilized for securing and leading various international and national research projects. She has played a key role in curriculum development, including new undergraduate programs in Agricultural Biotechnology and Organic Crop Production, and has an active research profile with an h-index of 17 and an i10-index of 23.
