Dr. Salma Jallouli obtained her Engineering degree (2010) in Biotechnology and Plant Sciences, her MSc degree in plants biotechnology (2013), and her PhD (2020) in Agronomic Sciences from the National Institute of Agronomy of Tunisia. After her graduation, Dr. Salma Jallouli worked as an assistant lecturer for three years with a focus on plant sciences. Now, she is holding a post-doctoral researcher occupation at the laboratory of Genetics and Cereal Breeding. Dr. Jallouli is involved in different research projects which are all revolving around the tolerance aspects of cereals to drought and other constraints related to climate change. She is also involved in different projects that revolve around sustainable and resilient agriculture based on innovative farming systems. Dr. Jallouli is interested mainly in studying the response of durum wheat to drought. A major part of her research is focusing on assessing comparative study of the biochemical and physiologic response to drought of contrasted durum wheat genotypes. During her research activities, Dr. Jallouli initiated collaboration with different institutions such as the University Degli Studi Di Napoli Federico II in Italy and the University of Barcelona in Spain.
