Dr. Ibtissame Lembaid is a soil scientist and climate modelling researcher with expertise in soil carbon dynamics, greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainable agricultural systems. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher working on climate–soil interactions in grassland ecosystems, focusing on modelling the impacts of global warming on soil carbon processes.
She earned her PhD in Soil Science and Modelling from the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat, in collaboration with INRA and ICARDA. Dr. Lembaid has international research experience in France and Ireland, where she has contributed to major research programs on greenhouse gas inventories, soil carbon sequestration, and agricultural sustainability.
Her research focuses on process-based modelling of agroecosystems, soil organic carbon sequestration, nutrient use efficiency, and climate risk assessment in agriculture. She integrates numerical simulation, spatial analysis, and environmental data analysis to support climate-smart land management and sustainable production systems.
With multiple peer-reviewed publications and experience in multidisciplinary research programs, Dr. Lembaid contributes to the development of resilient agricultural strategies under climate change, particularly for temperate and semi-arid environments.
