Dr. Hassine holds an Engineering degree (2010) in Biotechnology and Agronomy Science, a Master’s degree in Plant Protection and the Environment (2012), and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia.
She is an active member of the Genetics and Cereal Breeding Laboratory of the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia, where she conducted her research on the genotypic characterization of Zymoseptoria tritici on durum wheat since 2013.
Dr. Hassine's main research activities include the evaluation of climate change on plant disease and the role of the mutation in the control of this biotic stress on durum wheat. She initiated collaboration with different institutions such as the Earth and Life Institute at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), Belgium (2016-2017), the Charles Violette Regional Research Institute at the University of Lille and the Higher Institute of Agriculture of Lille (ISA), France (2017).
