Dr. Chamkhi is currently a professor at the Scientific Institute, Mohammed V University in Rabat. She has a PhD in Microbial Biotechnology (December 2018), Laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Biology (International Mixed Laboratory-LMI), Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed V University. 

Dr. Chamkhi has been a Post‐Doc (2019) at the Microbiology and Molecular Biology Team, Center of Plant and Microbial Biotechnology, Biodiversity and Environment, Faculty of Sciences in Rabat, where she was involved in the study of phyto-beneficial properties of rhizobacteria associated with saffron and the identification and analysis of mycorrhizal populations present in acacia soils. Also, she worked as a postdoc research fellow (2020) at the Plant-Microbe Interaction Laboratory- AgroBioSciences (AgBS), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir in collaboration with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences where she was involved in legume Root Microbiome - Molecular and functional diversity under intercropping systems.

She has extensive experience in plant-soil-microbe interaction, microbial biodiversity (fungi and bacteria) associated with wild, cultivated, and medicinal plants, as well as the biotechnological valorization of these natural resources, their roles as biofertilizers to promote the growth, the biocontrol of plants under biotic and abiotic stresses. This variety of topics was motivated by her interest in trying to explore new ideas in different fields.
