Ameni Ben Zineb

Tunisia

After an Engineering degree (2013) in Biotechnology and Plant Breeding, she received a master’s degree in management of natural ecosystems (2014) followed by a PhD in Agricultural Sciences (2020) from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia. During her thesis project, she focused on exploring the rock phosphorus acquisition efficiency and mobilization mechanisms of inoculated legume plants to develop new biofertilizer, composed by rock phosphorus, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and rhizobium to sustain agricultural productivity.

Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Plant Molecular Physiology at the Center of Biotechnology of Borj-Cedria (CBBC), Tunisia. Her research activities focus on designing eco-efficient cereal-legume integrated food value chain in the Mediterranean basin using cutting-edge technologies for microbial data analysis. She participated in several national and international research projects with the objective of promoting sustainable smart agriculture for science and humanity.
