Dr. Bchir holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from Higher Institute of Agronomy Chott-Meriem. She is a Research Assistant at the Olive Tree Institute in Tunisia and a member of the laboratory of "Sustainability of Olive and Arboriculture Production Systems" since 2014. She holds an engineering degree in horticulture and has a second master's degree in Biology of Plant in Mediterranean Conditions from the University of Islands Baleares in Spain.

Dr. Bchir has several years of experience in the field of water resources management in olive and grapevine. The research covers the themes of transpiration modeling and water requirements, irrigation management in orchards, bioclimatology, abiotic stress, water efficiency, and productivity improvement strategies.

Dr. Bchir has authored several publications in recognized international scientific journals as well as papers of national and international conferences and workshops. She is a partner in several national and international projects and the coordinator and Tunisian Project Investigator of the bilateral cooperation project between the Olive Tree Institute and the University of Minnesota (USA), financed by ICBA Dubai and CRDF Global.
